3 Beauty Products You NEED from Amazon.com

We’ve all been there and have bought a product on Amazon.com that seemed like it should have been amazing but alas, was a hunk of junk.  In all fairness, it’s hard not to with the countless number of products that Amazon sells – some from companies you know, some from companies you don’t, some from international sellers, some from the US – with all those options, you’re bound to strike out once or twice.

Recently I’ve purchased a couple things from Amazon that I’ve really enjoyed, and will continue to purchase.

1)  Melole Magnetic Eyelashes, $16.99

I shelled out $70 for the infamous One Two Cosmetics Magnetic Lashes…three times.  And you know what? I didn’t like them one, two, three times (see what I did there?). The half lashes just looked silly, and the full strip lashes left a gap in the middle when applied because there were magnets only on the ends and not the middle. I was about ready to give up on magnetic lashes in general, until one of the Youtubers I follow, Pretty Casual, posted a review on how easy Melole magnetic eyelashes were to apply.  Melole lashes are only sold on Amazon at the moment, and at about 1/4 of the price of One Two lashes, they are SO amazing!  They are full strip lashes and feature that elusive third magnet.  With magnets on the ends and the middle, the lashes form much better to the wearer’s unique eye shape.   These little babies are so good that they are sold out at the moment, but I’ve spoken to their customer service department, and they should be back in stock later this week.

2)  Chella Heated Eyelash Curler, $20.89

My eyelashes are short, straight, and – thanks to my super heavy Asian monolids – tend to point directly downwards over my eyeballs.  Since the skin of my monolids folds so far over my lashline, a traditional lash curler doesn’t really work for me, I always end up pinching my skin and um, OW.  If I do manage to curl my lashes with a traditional curler, I pretty much blink and they are straight again, even with lash primer and high-quality mascara.  The worst is when I accidentally squeeze the curler too hard around my mascara’ed lashes and pull some out when I release it.  Ain’t nobody got time for that.  The Chella Heated Eyelash Curler is great because a) it doesn’t clamp your lashes, it lifts them from underneath so you can get a less crimpy curl that won’t damage your lashes and b) the gentle heat – and no, you won’t burn your eyelids – creates a curl that is much longer lasting than with a traditional curler.  Yay, smiles and curvy lashes all around!

3)  Kedsum Magnifying Mirror with Suction Cup, $20.99

This one is for all you lovely people out there like me, who rent an apartment and are therefore forbidden to stick pointy things like nails or tacks in the wall.  I really wanted a magnifying mirror to put in the bathroom, but also didn’t want to put the screws in the walls necessary to mount said mirror.  I love, love, LOVE the Kedsum mirror because it comes with a suction cup on the end. I just stuck the suction cup to my regular bathroom mirror and voila, I can now stare my face at 7x magnification when I do my makeup (they have a 10x magnifying version too).

And there you have it – a few products that I’ve really enjoyed from Amazon.  I’ll keep you posted as I find more!
